Itinerary:
Christchurch : We begin our day by departing Christchurch (the Garden City) and head north towards Kaikoura. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights and highlight key landmarks in the area.
Cheviot (15 minutes): Our first stop is in Cheviot, a hidden gem and one of New Zealand’s largest coastal routes. Here, you can stretch your legs and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding countryside before we continue our journey.
Kaikoura: Upon arrival in Kaikoura, you’ll have the opportunity to grab lunch before heading off on your kayak adventure! Glide across the water with the chance to spot seals, dolphins, penguins, and albatross while taking in spectacular views of the Kaikoura Peninsula.
If Time Allows: Waipara : If time permits, we’ll make a quick stop at the Waipara wine region, famous for its lush vineyards and picturesque countryside. Here, you can sample a selection of locally produced wines. Not a wine fan? No problem! We’ll also have beer available as an option.
Christchurch : After an action-packed day filled with stunning views, exciting wildlife encounters, and unforgettable experiences, relax as we head back to Christchurch.
Please note: This tour is focused on kayaking and water activities, with no opportunities for local walks or shopping. Additional stops for bathroom breaks will be included.
