It is known as a Wahi Tapu (sacred) site and it's significance was recognized by the Crown in Te Kereme ( The Ngai Tahu Claim Settlement).
Walk with one of our Ngati Waewae guides who will share their knowledge of the extraordinary events which occured at this eerily beautiful place during the days of our tupuna (ancestors).
Events which even now, continue to reverberate and echo silently through ages.
